MediaTek and Samsung Introduce World's First Wi-Fi 6 Supported 8K TV

MediaTek announced that the world's first 8K OLED TV with Wi-Fi 6 support was developed by Samsung. Wi-Fi 6 technology will offer higher connection speeds and smoother entertainment experiences on televisions.

Samsung announced its new 8K QLED TVs on the CES 2020 with its frameless infinite display, 5.1 channel surround sound system. MediaTek has now announced that the Samsung 8K QLED Y20 (Q900, Q950) is the world's first 8K QLED TV equipped with a Wi-Fi 6 chipset.

According to the company, the Samsung 8K QLED Y20 is the only 8K TV that supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity worldwide . Television will offer consumers smoother streaming and gaming experience, as well as smoother entertainment with unlimited internet access.
