NVIDIA GeForce Now Outperforms Google Stadia In Time Lag Test

In the era of cloud-based gaming platforms, NVIDIA GeForce Now and Google Stadia platforms faced a PC Gamer's latency test. In the test results, GeForce Now outperformed Google Stadia.

With the development of technology, the tools that enable players to play games started to change to a great extent. As you know, many companies have been working on cloud based game services for the last two years. Two familiar names that are debuting today are, of course, NVIDIA's GeForce Now and Google's Stadia .

If we look at the main difference between the two cloud systems, we see how companies offer services. While Google wants players using Stadia to buy games  again , NVIDIA allows players to access games they already own in GeForce Now.

NVIDIA GeForce Now outperforms Google Stadia:

The biggest question that was wondered apart from the way services were delivered was the difference in latency times between the two platforms . At this point, PC Gamer stepped in and compared how both platforms performed in terms of latency.

PC Gamer revealed that NVIDIA's GeForce Now system has lower latencies than Google Stadia as a result of its tests . NVIDIA GeForce Now made a noticeable difference to Google's Stadia in every test under the same conditions and in the same scenarios.

In gaming tests via wired internet, NVIDIA faced GeForce Now and Google Stadia, Metro Exodus and Destiny 2 games. In tests, GeForce Now has 96 ms and 75 ms delay in Metro Exodus and Destiny 2 games with a connection speed of over 400 Mbps , while Google Stadia has a delay of 179 ms  and 129 ms .

In wireless internet tests, GeForce Now has 117 ms and 125 ms delay times on the same games and with the same connection speed,  while Stadia showed 129 ms  and 117 ms delay time performance. This was the only result that Google Stadia surpassed GeForce Now.

In tests conducted via Metro Exodus on the ray tracing offered by GeForce Now, the platform had a delay of 96 ms when the ray tracing was turned off in a 400+ Mbps wired connection, while the ray tracing was on, it had a delay of 125 ms . In 400+ Mbps wireless connection, these values ​​were 117 ms and 167 ms respectively .

Using the NVIDIA GeForce Now cloud system, as we can clearly see with the tests performed by PC Gamer, is rapidly moving towards becoming the first choice of the players, but it is unclear how the company has recently faced developers .
