In the Rocky Mountains Laboratory of the National Institute of Health, 6 rhesus monkeys were shot in the form of a single dose of vaccine developed by Oxford University last month.
Scientists at the laboratory, where the animals are heavily exposed to coronavirus, reported that all of the vaccinated sick monkeys completely survived the virus after 28 days.
IF APPROVED, READY TO VACCINE SEPTEMBER
The permits required to test the vaccine against humans against coronavirus with positive results in trials on monkeys are expected.
In the news served by the New York Times, it was stated that scientists at Oxford University are waiting for "Emergency approval" for vaccination from the supervisory institutions.
